Man killed in car crashby Gabe Donio, Gazette Staff Writer HAMMONTON—Anthony Ruggerio, 30, of Lakeshore Drive has been charged with vehicular homicide, driving while intoxicated (DWI) and other motor vehicle offenses in connection with a fatal accident on January 14 that took the life of Atlantic County Corrections Officer John Cruz, 51, of Egg Harbor Road, Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel said in a press release. The accident occurred near Cruz’s home on Egg Harbor Road, the release said.
