Council supports firemen

HAMMONTON—At its regular meeting on February 25, the Hammonton Town Council unanimously approved an ordinance at first reading to permit the Hammonton Fire Department to obtain reimbursement for the cost of materials and equipment for services rendered.
According to Hammonton Fire Chief Michael Ruberton, the funds received will be placed in a trust fund to be used for capital expenses.

School budget is on its way

HAMMONTON—Stephen DiDonato, chairman of the school board’s finance committee, told the board during its regular meeting of February 21 that the committee has been working on the upcoming budget and will have a number soon.

Cirillo wins Top Crop tourney

Anthony “Smokey” Cirillo (left) and Shawn Hardy (right), the first and second place winners of the Third Annual Top Crop No Limit Hold'em Poker Tournament Invitational, hold the coveted Top Crop Cup. The Tournament was held on Thursday, February 21 at the Atlantic City Hilton and is sponsored by Hammonton-based company Frank Donio, Inc./Top Crop. Cirillo won a grand prize totaling nearly $6,000 according to a press release.
