OBITUARIES

 

 

Josephine Cashan, 85, of Hammonton, died suddenly on March 19, 2008, at the Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Philadelphia, she moved to Hammonton two years later where she lived the remainder of her life. Josephine always took pride in taking care of her family. She was an excellent cook and housekeeper and was known far and wide for her chocolate cake, blueberry pie, Christmas cookies and her world famous meatballs. Before raising her family, she was a member of a number of civic organizations in Hammonton.
Predeceased by: husband, Nicholas J. Cashan Jr.; parents, Nicholas and Anna Esposito; brothers, Nicholas, Joseph Esposito. Surviving her are: sons, Nicholas and his wife Linda of Hammonton, Calvin and his wife Beth of Moorestown; grandchildren who were the light of her life, Nicholas, Courtney, Olivia, Siena, Connor Cashan; sisters, Anna Kowal of Hammonton, Martha Pohwat of Cherry Hill, Fay Bennett of Ormond Beach, Fla.; brothers, Howard Esposito of Vineland, Ron Esposito of Folsom.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on March 24 at St. Martin de Porres Church. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
The family respectfully requests contributions made in her memory to the Foundation of William B. Kessler Hospital, P.O. Box 437, Hammonton, NJ 08037.

Richard J. Condo, 68, of Barrington and formerly of Waterford.
Richard was raised in Waterford and lived in Barrington for 45 years.
Surviving him are: beloved wife, Joann; sons, Joseph, Michael, John; sisters, Lillian Askin, Rita Calvello; sister-in-law, Helen Condo; four grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on March 25 at St. Francis de Sales Church in Barrington followed by burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Norma I. Rosado, 61, of Hammonton, died March 20, 2008, at the Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Coamo, Puerto Rico, she lived in Hammonton for over 32 years.
Surviving her are: husband, Elias Rosado; children, Roselyn M. Rosado, Roberto Rosado, Madelyn Rosado, Edwin Rosado all of Hammonton, Elias Rosado III and his wife Robyn of North Carolina; brothers, Roberto Rosado of Puerto Rico, Angel Rosado of New York, Israel Rosado of Vineland; sisters, Lucia Rosado, Rosin Rosado both of Vineland, Emerita Angeles of Lodi; grandchildren, Jonathan, Miriam, Edwin, Frankie, Cassandra, Brianna, Gabriella.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on March 25 at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church followed by burial at Greenmount Cemetery.

Carmen L. Baez, 72, of Vineland, died suddenly on March 12, 2008, at Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia.
Born June 26, 1935 in Bayamon, P.R., she was the force that held everything and everyone in the family together. “Mommy” as she was known to all was the matriarch of the family. Though we celebrate that she is in our Heavenly Father’s eternal light and love, she will be sadly missed by all.
Predeceased by: sons, Efrain Rosario, Abel Rosario; brother, Angel-Luis Baez. Surviving her are: daughter, Gloria Rosario; son, Michael Perez both of Vineland; brothers, William Baez, Casimiro Baez, Israel Baez all of Puerto Rico; grandchildren, William Rosario, Victor Ramos, Ismael Arocho, Liz Echevarria, Abel Rosario, Michael Rosario, Efrain Perez, Michael Perez, Brandon Perez; great-grandchildren, Jerath Cruz, Jessenia Echevarria, Weylin Echevarria, Arianna Arocho, Gabriel Arocho.
Relatives and friends attended a memorial service on March 16 at City of Refuge Church in Vineland.
