Other Events
The Woman’s Civic Club of Hammonton will be
holding an anniversary gala on Friday, April 18,
from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Lucien’s Manor in
Berlin. Tickets are $55 per person. Included in
the price of a ticket is dinner, music by a disc
jockey, dancing and open bar. Attire is
black-tie optional.

The Hammonton Arts Center, located at 107
Bellevue Avenue, is pleased to announce the
introduction of an “Advanced Digital Photography
Class.” The following areas of interest will be
covered: advanced lighting techniques, including
existing and studio lighting techniques, full
manual operations and PhotoShop. Participants
need a SRL camera, either film or digital. The
six-week classes will take place the first and
third Sunday of the month from 6:30 p.m. until 8
p.m. beginning April 6. The fee for HAC members
is $90 and $95 for non members. Cost of
materials are not included. Register by

The Hammonton Lions Club will host the 19th
Annual Citizen of the Year Awards Dinner at 6:30
p.m. on April 16 at the Frog Rock Country Club.
Residents George Campanella, Anthony Jacobs and
David Scardino will be honored.
Tickets are $35 per person and may be purchased
by calling Mary Gillespie at 561-8585, Arthur
Orsi at 561-2343 or any other Lions Club member.
Tickets will also be available at the The
Cornucopian and Antiques on the Bellevue.
Hammonton Chapter of Deborah Hospital sponsors a
bus trip the last Sunday of the month to an
Atlantic City Casino. Cost is $13, and the bus
leaves at 3 p.m. from the carnival grounds on
French St. across from the Convent.
Each person will receive a food and cash coupon.

An Alzheimer’s support group for those caring
for family with Alzheimer’s or dementia is being
held the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m.
at the Presbyterian Church at 326 E. Bellevue
Avenue.
The group provides practical caregiving
information, gives mutual support and helps
members learn about community resources. For

The American Alzheimer’s Association will also
host monthly events at the wellness center.

The Blowing Bubble and Motorcycle Run for Autism
will be taking place on Saturday, April 19,
2008. The event will be held from 11a.m. to
3p.m. at the Hammonton Lake Park on Egg Harbor
Road in Hammonton. The rain date for this will
be April 20.
Proceeds from this event will benefit FACES
Hammonton Chapter a local Autism support group.
Each bubble will create awareness and be a wish
of hope to families with autism. There will be
refreshments, face painting, bouncy and a clown.
A minimum of $1 donation is required to blow
bubbles.

Soroptomist International of Hammonton presents
Basket Bingo Fundraiser with Longaberger Baskets
and Pottery. The event will take place on
Thursday, April 10 at the Hammonton High School
cafeteria at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. $20
Admission that includes 10 games, 1 door prize
ticket, coffee and dessert. A portion of this
year’s proceeds will be donated to the Velardi

The Hammonton Home & School Association is
sponsoring three events this spring all to
benefit Hammonton Public Schools. First, H.S.A.
invites everyone to enjoy a night out with the
Philadelphia Soul. Tickets for this event are
just $23 each. Experience the fun as the
Philadelphia Soul takes on the Utah Blaze, 7
p.m., Saturday, April 5 at the Wachovia Center.

H.S.A.’s second event is a Bon Jovi Guitar
Give-away. Win an authentic autographed guitar
signed by Jon Bon Jovi himself! Raffle tickets

H.S.A Beef n Beverage Event on Saturday, May 17.

As mentioned, H.S.A. will host a Beef n Beverage
Benefit at Winslow Fire Hall on Saturday, May 17
at 7 p.m. Hammonton’s own George Hummel & Jim
Italiano and their band, Centurian, will rock
the night away. Just $25 per ticket. A basket
raffle and the Jon Bon Jovi Guitar will be
raffled off at this event. Must be 21 to attend.
