 Spring is here! The weather is warming up, buds are blooming, and grass cutting weather is around the corner.
We continue to be busy here at the Atlantic County Library/West in Hammonton as we host events and programs for the entire family.
Services and programs this month:
Atlantic County Clerk’s Satellite Office: Wednesday Afternoons from 1 to 4 p.m. As a public service, the Atlantic County Clerk continues to operate the satellite office at Atlantic County Library/West in Hammonton. The office provides information and services for those wishing to obtain ID cards, passports, veteran licenses, trade names, notary oaths, or real estate information. The telephone number for the Clerk’s desk is 704-0169.
Toddler Storytime: Tuesdays at 10 a.m. Features stories, crafts, snacks and games. Suggested for ages 3 and younger. Registration required.
Preschool Storytime: Thursdays through April 28 at 12:30 p.m. Stories, crafts, snacks and games. Suggested for ages 3.5 to 5. Registration required.
Young Adult Group: Wednesdays, April 2 and 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. Discuss anime, manga, etc., in a relaxed atmosphere. Hang out and chat, read, watch anime movies, and play video games. Enjoy snacks and refreshments. Events TBA. For teens and young adults. Registration required.
College Admissions Seminar: Thursday, April 17 at 6:30 p.m. Presented by the Princeton Review. Free seminar includes info about the college admission process and standardized test taking. Professionals answer your questions and help guide you through the winding road of undergraduate admissions.
Breast Cancer and You: Wednesday, April 16 at 10 a.m. Presented by Angela Bailey, Atlantic County Healthy Living Coalition Coordinator. Learn about your risks for breast cancer. Covers topics such as genetics, hormonal replacement therapy, diet/nutrition and prevention.
April Crafts for Kids: Saturday, April 26 at 2 p.m. Call for details. Craft open to ages 3 to 8. Registration required.
Creative Crafts: Thursdays, April 10 and 24 at 6:30 p.m. Create arts and crafts using various materials. All materials are provided. Rock Painting is on April 10 and Kite Making is on April 24. For ages 8 and up, younger with adult. Registration required.
After School Crafts: Wednesdays, April 2 through 23 at 4 p.m. Crafts include cookie decorating, flower pot decoupage and mud pudding. Suggested for ages 5 to 8.
Internet Training: By appointment. Schedule an appointment for an individual tutoring session. Emphasis on library home page.
