Wednesday, April 16

The Hammonton Planning Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. at Hammonton Town Hall, located at 100 Central Ave.
Girl Scout Troop #6045 will meet at 2:30 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church, located at 326 E. Bellevue Ave.
The Senior Citizens of Hammonton will meet at noon at Fire Co. No. 2 on the White Horse Pike.
The Exchange Club will meet at 7 p.m. at Rocco’s Town House, 21 N. Third St.
The Hammonton Ministerium Good Samaritan Center will provide meals at the Atlantic County Human Resources Building, 310 Bellevue Ave., from 5-6:30 p.m.

Thursday, April 17

The Masons M.B. Taylor Lodge 141 F & A.M. will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Masonic Hall, located at 206 Central Ave. This meeting is for MasterMasons only.
The Rotary Club of Hammonton will meet at 7 p.m., location TBA.
Masonic Lodge #141 will hold its meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the Lodge.

Friday, April 18
The Sons of Italy #1658 will hold their Executive meeting at 7 p.m. at the Lodge, located at 427 N. Third St.

Knights of Columbus Pallotti Council #3471 will meet at the St. Joseph’s Convent Meeting Room, located at Third and French Sts.
 

Tuesday, April 22
The American Legion, F. A. Funston Post #186 will meet at 8 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, located at 101 French Street.
Boy Scout Troop 58 and Cub Scout Pack 58 will meet at 7 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church, located at 326 Bellevue Ave.

Wednesday, April 23
Mainstreet Hammonton Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Historic Hammonton Train Station, located at 10 S. Egg Harbor Rd.

Other Events
Hammonton Town Hall will be closed on April 30, May 1 and May 2 to prepare for the move to the new Town Hall. The New Town Hall will be opened for business on May 5. There will be an extension for taxes, water and sewer without penalty until May 16.
The Knights of Columbus St. Padre Pio Council is selling raffle tickets for their 2nd Annual Backyard Barbecue Raffle. The winner will receive a four hour cookout for 20 people in either May, June, July or August. The package includes hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, macaroni salad, baked beans, chips, pretzels, desserts, condiments, paper products and soda. Members of the Knights of Columbus will set up, cook and clean after the party.
Each ticket allows a person four opportunities to win. Tickets are $10 each. For more information call Ed Collins at 561-0352.
Chef Lenny’s Kitchen wants to know “Who has the best meatballs?” Sunday, April 27 at noon, they will hold the Golden Meatball Challenge Cup at Esposito’s located at 1001 S. 9th Street in Philadephia. “Hammonton’s Got Talent - Just Bring It!” The Friends of the Eagle Theatre will be hosting a talent show on Saturday, May 17 at 7 p.m., at the Hammonton High School Performing Arts Center (PAC). Tickets for the event will be $10 and available in advance or at the door.
Solo or group acts will perform a 3 minute act of their choice. All groups must register and audition on April 19. Registration forms and event policies may be picked up at Casciano Coffee and Sweetery, Dance Magic, Lindy Hops, Mainstreet Hammonton Office and Simply Stationary. The Woman’s Civic Club of Hammonton will be holding an anniversary gala on Friday, April 18, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Lucien’s Manor in Berlin. Tickets are $55 per person. Included in the price of a ticket is dinner, music by a disc jockey, dancing and open bar. Attire is black-tie optional.
Prom Dresses now available in the Kid’s Closet at the Woman’s Civic Club. The Prom Dress Project collects new and almost-new formal dresses and accessories and provides them, free of charge, to high school students who are unable to purchase their own prom attire. Our dress shop and its services are free. Appointment times and names are kept anonymous. Planning on attending your prom in style? The Hammonton Lions Club will host the 19th Annual Citizen of the Year Awards Dinner at 6:30 p.m. on April 16 at the Frog Rock Country Club. Residents George Campanella, Anthony Jacobs and David Scardino will be honored.
Tickets are $35 per person and may be purchased by calling Mary Gillespie at 561-8585, Arthur Orsi at 561-2343 or any other Lions Club member. Tickets will also be available at the The Cornucopian and Antiques on the Bellevue.
The Blowing Bubble and Motorcycle Run for Autism will be taking place on Saturday, April 19, 2008. The event will be held from 11a.m. to 3p.m. at the Hammonton Lake Park on Egg Harbor Road in Hammonton. The rain date for this will be April 20.
Proceeds from this event will benefit FACES Hammonton Chapter a local Autism support group. Each bubble will create awareness and be a wish of hope to families with autism. There will be refreshments, face painting, bouncy and a clown. A minimum of $1 donation is required to blow bubbles.

The Hammonton Home & School Association is sponsoring two events this spring. First, is a Bon Jovi Guitar Give-away. Win an authentic autographed guitar signed by Jon Bon Jovi himself! Raffle tickets are just $10 each. Contact any H.S.A. member to purchase. The Raffle will take place at the H.S.A Beef n Beverage Event. Winner need not be present to win.
As mentioned, H.S.A. will host a Beef n Beverage Benefit at Winslow Fire Hall on Saturday, May 17 at 7 p.m. Hammonton’s George Hummel & Jim Italiano and their band, Centurian, will rock the night away. Just $25 per ticket. A basket raffle and the Jon Bon Jovi Guitar will be raffled off at this event. Must be 21 to attend.
