Affairs At Home L.L.C. is a full-service party rental and event planning service that caters to any size affair with an experienced staff and a focus on personal attention.
“We will plan the entire event and try to help you with every aspect of your day to make it a true success,” owner and operator Frank Gazzara said.
Gazzara opened Affairs At Home in 2003 with small beginnings.
He and his nephew Butch Gazzara started the company both on a part-time basis.
But with its popularity and good name, it blossomed into a full-time career for Gazzara and he quit his casino job and bought his nephew out in October 2007.
Today, Affairs At Home rents tents, tables, chairs, popcorn machines, hot dog carts, frozen drink dispensers, dance floors, inflatable bounces and much more.
Their training in event planning can help anyone with decorating, food selection, invitations, site selection and music, just to name a few of the services.
Gazzara’s wife Roseann uses her talents as a longtime singer and performer to further expand the services of Affairs At Home.
According to Gazzara, his wife used to perform as Judy Garland in the hit show Legends in Atlantic City. She acted and sang as Snow White in Walt Disney World and currently sings in the St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church Choir in Hammonton.
Another family performer includes his nephew Louis who made it to the final 32 in the second season of American Idol.
“We will put anything together. Whether it is a Disc Jockey or an orchestra, we can do it,” he said.
Affairs At Home has planned events for backyard parties, corporate functions, fairs, festivals, weddings and more with a guest list as small at 20 and as large as 360.
“We will do as much or as little as you want to work with any budget,” he said.
Gazzara has also partnered with The Maplewood Inn in Hammonton to offer off-site catering.
“Forty years ago they used to do catering. I wanted to bring it back. I proposed the idea that they cook the food and I do all the catering and supply the staff and they agreed. It is working out to be a wonderful partnership,” he said.
Gazzara worked in Atlantic City at Bally’s Park Place Resort and Casino for 26 years before branching out as an entrepreneur.
With his experience in the casino industry, Gazzara is able to offer rental equipment for casino fundraising events.
He is licensed by the Legalized Game of Chance Control Commission of New Jersey to rent gaming tables.
“There is no money exchanged at the tables. It is all for fun, but it is a great way to raise money for a charity. I have done events for the Boys and Girls Club of Vineland and the Sunshine Foundation,” he said.
He found inspiration in creating the business from his family.
“My wife is one of 14 children, we both come from large families. Just in my immediate family there are 90 of us. I thought it would be great to provide tents, chairs and the like for my family events, and the idea just grew into something,” he said.
Gazzara plans to expand in the future and hire more staff.
He currently services Atlantic, Gloucester, Burlington, Camden and Cape May counties. But has traveled as far as New York and Philadelphia for an event.
“I will go anywhere,” he said.
Gazzara lives in Hammonton with his wife of 14 years and his two children Brandon, 10 and Brian, 12.
