Council has a new home

First regular meeting at new town hall

HAMMONTON—On May 19, Mayor John DiDonato called the Hammonton Town Council regular meeting to order at the new town hall on Central and Vine Streets in the presence of the 2006 town council with former Councilman Rock Colasurdo sharing the gavel.

HAMMONTON—Holland native Jos Randsdorp discovered and fulfilled his American dream both professionally and personally in Hammonton.
A simple flower bulb tied two very different nations together through one man’s dream to succeed in America.

HAMMONTON—Ideal, the iconic 70-year-old women’s clothing store on the White Horse Pike (Route 30) that became famous for its catchy jingle, prom dresses and designer labels, will continue under new ownership. Ideal’s new President and CEO Anthony Spina and Vice President Suzanne Miranda are in the process of starting the new era of the legendary boutique located inside two Quonset huts.

Cruisin’ MainStreet was held on May 17 due to rain the previous day. More than 200 classic cars parked in the downtown area to the delight of attendees.
