12th St. Road rage incident

HAMMONTON—A man left his vehicle and damaged the window of the vehicle in front of him on the 100 block of 12th Street at 2:23 p.m. on September 5, Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel said.

“We received a call of a road rage incident. The caller said that another driver exited his vehicle and damaged the window of the other motorist during a ‘road rage’ incident,” Friel said.

The accused, Andriy Sosov, 46, of Millville, stated he was driving with a trailer and it was difficult to stop, and the driver in front of him applied his brakes abruptly and stopped, Friel said.

Sosov got out of his vehicle and punched the driver’s side rear window of the vehicle in front of him, Friel said.

The other driver suffered small lacerations on his right wrist from the broken glass, Friel said.

Sosov was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters, Friel said. He was charged with criminal mischief and released pending a court appearance in Hammonton Joint Municipal Court, Friel said.

Friel said Officer Renzo Mendoza was the arresting officer.

This report is comprised of arrests and investigations made by the men and women of local enforcement. All suspects and arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
