A remodeled treasure on Broadway

This beautifully-remodeled home, located at 161 Broadway, is listed for $350,000 through Gabrielle Raso-Carini of BHHS Fox & Roach Washington-Gloucester Home Marketing Center. (THG/Joseph F. Berenato. To purchase photos in The Gazette, call (609) 704-1940.)

A newly-remodeled house in Hammonton is ready and waiting for new owners to call it home.

Located at 161 Broadway, this three-bedroom, two-bathroom home is situated on a large corner lot and offers much to prospective buyers.

When visitors first enter the house through the front door, they will find themselves in a small foyer that features coat hooks mounted on a wall of beautiful, reclaimed wood. The first impression is one of the amount of space that is offered; much of the first floor employs an open floor plan that connects the individual rooms and employs gray hardwood flooring throughout.

To the right of the foyer, separated by a half-wall, is the living room. This has a large, vaulted ceiling and a window overlooking the front yard, as well as a wall that is perfect for mounting a television.

Behind that wall is the kitchen. Here, there are brand-new, dark-colored cabinets—and plenty of them—along with granite countertops and stainless steel, high-end appliances. Additionally, there is a gorgeous, faux-tile backsplash that runs on the walls for the length of the cabinets, as well as a deep closet that can serve as a pantry or a broom closet.

Next to that closet is the downstairs bathroom. This is accented with beautiful powder-blue walls and a vanity cabinet similar in color to those in the kitchen.

The kitchen area continues seamlessly into the dining area of the home. Because of the open floor plan, there is ample room to accommodate a variety of table sizes, allowing for as much or as little entertaining possibilities as the new homeowner wishes.

To the back of the dining room is an enormous master bedroom. This, like the living room, has a cathedral ceiling and is decorated with soothing, lavender-colored walls. A sectioned-off portion of the room can easily serve as an open-air walk-in closet, a sitting area or a small nursery.

The open plan continues with the stairwell that takes visitors to the second floor. At the top of the stairs is a small chamber that doubles as the hallway and a small sitting area.

Across from the stairs is a recessed area where the washer and dryer hookups can be found, along with shelving for detergent and other laundry necessities. This recessed area can also easily be converted so that doors can be installed, should the new owners desire.

Directly to the right of the stairwell is the upstairs bathroom. This has been gorgeously outfitted with a large, spa-like shower/tub combo. Additionally, there is a deep partition behind the shower that would be ideal for a linen closet.

The home’s two other bedrooms are also located on the second story. Each features carpeted floors, ceiling fans and more than ample closet space.

Traveling back downstairs, visitors can head out the door located between the kitchen and living room onto a large, deck-style porch that leads to the fenced-in backyard. Here, as well as in the front yard, prospective homebuyers will see the landscaping that has been done to create private islands and ponds throughout.

Other upgrades to the house during the remodel include a new roof, new siding and a new HVAC system, meaning that the new owners can enjoy their new home for years to come, free from worry.

The house is listed for $350,000 through Gabrielle Raso-Carini of BHHS Fox & Roach Washington-Gloucester Home Marketing Center.
