Anthony J. “Padutie” Parzanese



Anthony J. “Padutie” Parzanese, 76, of Hammonton passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Jefferson Washington Township Hospital.


Born in Hammonton he was a lifelong resident of the Hammonton and Elm area. He worked for the New Jersey Department of Transportation, was a member of the IFPTE Local 195 and recently worked for Folsom Public Schools. He was a longtime member of the Hammonton Volunteer Fire Company No. 1, where he formerly served as President, and was a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Pallotti Council No. 3471. He enjoyed working in his yard and spending time with his family especially with his granddaughter, Princess Emily.

Anthony is predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Helen Parzanese; and his mother-in-law, Concetta Peacock.


He is survived by his wife, Dionne Parzanese (nee Peacock); his daughter, Stephanie DeCicco (Chuck); his son, Anthony J. Parzanese Jr.; his granddaughter, Emily; his brother, Sam “Farmer” Parzanese (Sue); his sister, Roseann Parzanese; his brother-in-law, John Peacock (Merrily); and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton. Another viewing will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Antony of Padua, 285 Route 206 in Hammonton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow at Greenmount Cemetery 124 S. First Road in Hammonton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hammonton Fire Company No. 1, 108 Front Street, Hammonton, NJ 08037.
