Hammonton—On February 16 it was announced that the Atlantic County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs has awarded $212,316 in state competitive grants to 26 county non-profit organizations to provide access to quality art and history experiences that will enhance the quality of life for county residents and visitors.
Twenty-three non-profits were re-granted a total of $199,500 through the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. Local grant awardees include:
• Eagle Theatre received $19,100 (GOS)
• Hammonton Arts Center received $7,500 (GPS)
• MainStreet Hammonton received $8,800 (GPS)
GOS=General Operating Support (Max request $20K) and GPS=General Programming
Support (Max request $10K)
Four non-profits were re-granted a total of $12,816 through the New Jersey State Historical Commission. Local grantee:
• Historical Society of Hammonton received $5,416 (SP)
SP=Special Project (Max request $6,500)
The Atlantic County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs is accepting a second round of 2023 grant applications for the County Historical Partnership Program, offered through the New Jersey Historical Commission. Non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply. The deadline for submissions is Friday, March 24, 2023.
