Donna R. Bonow (nee Tassone), 72, of Hammonton passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021 in AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Mainland Division.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a lifelong Hammonton resident. She graduated from Hammonton High School class of 1967. Donna continued her education at Atlantic Community College where she earned an associate’s degree. Donna previously worked as an operator for Bell Telephone in Hammonton, and as a dietary aid for Medford Convalescent Center for 10 years. She was a devout Catholic and taught CCD at St. Joseph’s Church for 25 years.
Donna is predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Sarah A. (nee Prestopino) Tassone. She is survived by her husband of 50 years of marriage, Lawrence Bonow; her two daughters, Nancy Myers and her husband Bill of Hammonton and Jenny Forrest and her husband Chris of Medford; one brother, Anthony Tassone and his wife Maryland of Sacramento, Calif.; and her five grandchildren who she adored, Emily, Elizabeth, Billy, Clint and Patricia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 23, 2021, 11:30 a.m. in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Joseph’s, 226 French St., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Hammonton. A viewing will be held Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, 226 French St., Hammonton, NJ 08037.
