Eileen A. Paretti (nee Battaglia), 74, of Waterford Works, N.J. died peacefully on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at her home.
She was born and raised in Hammonton and grew up working on her family’s farm, White Horse Farms, with her parents Joseph and Anna and her sister, Joanne. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1964 and received her bachelor’s degree from Glassboro State College in 1968. Her teaching career started in Texas and later at Hammonton Elementary School. As a member of St. Anthony Church she sang in the choir and was a member of the Hammonton Women’s Civic Club.
She is predeceased by her husband, Oliviero “Olly” Paretti and parents, Joseph and Anna Battaglia.
Surviving are her children, Jefrey and his wife Paula of Winslow Twp. N.J., Lori DeFeo and her husband Frank Jr. of Dorothy, N.J. and David Paretti and his wife Jennifer of Waterford Works, N.J.; one sister, Joanne Wiessner and her husband John of Hammonton, N.J.; and her grandchildren, Tevya, Tiffany, Samuel and Charlotte Paretti, William and Anthony Grieco, and Frankie DeFeo III.
Family and friends attended her visitation on February 24, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish-St. Anthony of Padua Church 285 Rt. 206 Hammonton, N.J. Burial will be held privately by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (https://www.nationalmssociety.org/Donate) or Samaritan Hospice Center at Voorhees 265 NJ Rt. 73 Voorhees Twp. NJ 08043.
