Florence Etherington

Florence Etherington, nee Losse, 96, of Pennsauken, N.J. passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at her home.
She was born in Hammonton, N.J. on June 17, 1925 to William and Viola Losse. Florence worked as an operator for New Jersey Bell and then moved to California in 1948 where she worked as a telephone operator in Pasadena. She then moved to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, where she worked as a PBX operator at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. She moved back to Hammonton where she worked at Whitehall Labs in Hammonton until retirement. She married Thomas Etherington in 1972.
She is predeceased by two brothers, David and Nelson and four sisters, Lillian, Ida, Doris and Hazel.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas; her daughter, Denise (Jeff); grandchildren, Daniel Pacholski (Kelly), twin granddaughters Alexa Patel (Roshan) and Erika Arruda (Bryce); four great-grandchildren, Callie Pacholski, Kamran Patel, Emersyn and Lara Arruda; sister, Erma Woodman; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church in Hammonton, with family visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m.
