Frank Martino Jr.



Frank Martino Jr., 76, of Hammonton, N.J. passed away on September 20, 2021.


Frank was a veteran, who served in the 1st Calvary during the Vietnam War. He served in the Army National Guard for many years until retirement. He owned and operated several roofing contracting businesses, including Martino Roofing and Frank Martino and Sons Roofing. He also owned and operated Serefina’s Italian Restaurant. Frank was involved in many civic organizations throughout his life. He was active in the South Jersey community, as well as in his “second home,” Spring Hill, Fla. These groups included the VFW, Knights of Columbus, American Legion, Our Lady of Assumption Society, St. Joseph HS Booster Club, Winslow Township Republican Club, Elm Volunteer Fire Company, Sons of Italy, Italian Club of Florida, Boy Scout Troop 192, as well as many others. He was also a strong supporter of Veterans’ groups and an advocate for Veterans’ rights.


Frank is predeceased by his parents, Frank Sr. and Serefina “Sophie” Martino; his sister, Diana Battesti; his nieces, Maria Montagnaro and Kristeen Battesti; and his beloved son, Daniel Martino.


Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Kumiko and his children, Frank Martino III (Elizabeth), Michael Martino (Heather) and Margaret Martino. Frank is also survived by his grandchildren, Michael Jr., Priscilla, Serefina and Daniela Martino; his brothers, Anthony (Kathleen), Joseph and Dominick; his Aunt Catherine Albano, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends attended his viewing Monday, September 27, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning, September 28, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the LeRoy P. Wooster Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 White Horse Pike, Atco, NJ 08004. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Parish/St. Joseph’s Church, Third St. & French St., Hammonton on September 28, 2021 at 11 a.m. Interment with Military Honors took place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin, N.J.


In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Our Lady of Assumption Society, 1191 Moss Mill Road, Hammonton, NJ 08037.
