Helen E. Ford



Helen E. Ford (nee Arena), 97, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021.


Born in Hammonton she was a lifelong resident. Helen last worked for the AC Expressway as a leader in the clerical department. Helen had many jobs in her life which include South Jersey Transportation Auth. State Police Division, secretary of Mori Brothers, office manager at Harry Sharpe Inc., East End Motors all in Vineland. She was a trainee for RCA Victor in Camden, VP of NJ Federation of Republicans of Atlantic County, president of Hammonton Women’s Republican Club, member of the Fishing Club of America, Hammonton Historical Society, Women’s Civic Club of Hammonton, Hammonton Seniors Club and ABWA South Jersey Rose Society. Helen enjoyed playing cards, going to the casinos, sport fishing was her favorite hobby, and traveling to Florida.


She is predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Ford; parents, Salvatore and Millie (Caruso) Arena; sisters, Mamie Rastelli and Marie Dampf; brothers, Angelo Arena, Charles Arena and Joseph J. Arena.


She is survived by her nieces and nephews as well as her caregiver Richard Chiappine.


Entombment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. As per Helen’s final wishes, all funeral arrangements are private.
