Henrietta A. Bucci



Henrietta A. Bucci (nee Schairer), 94, of Hammonton passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022.


She was born on October 12, 1927 in Galloway, N.J. and grew up on her parents’ farm, Hillcrest Dairy in Galloway. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for her husband’s business as a Sealtest Milk Distributor for 25 years. In her younger days she enjoyed sewing, roller skating, ice skating, horseback riding, dancing, boating, swimming and acquired many bowling trophies. Yetta was always kind to animals. Her home was always open for conversation with friends and family. She enjoyed reading, playing scrabble, doing puzzles and crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.


Henrietta is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Guy F. Bucci Sr.; her parents, Francis J. and Anna Schairer; her brother, Francis Schairer Jr.; and sisters, Stella Tetrault, Magdaline Braun, Dorothy Grillo and Ernestine McCaughey.


She is survived by her daughter, Christine Ferrigno and her husband David; her son, Guy F. Bucci Jr. and his wife Linda; her grandchildren, Lynn Bucci (Michael Auer), Lauren Thomas (Ben), Guy P. Bucci (Toni); David Ferrigno Jr. and Lindsay Ferrigno (Steph); her two sisters, Roberta Franchetti and Margaret Walters; her brother, Louis Schairer (Judy); two sisters-in-law, Maria Bucci and Miriam Bucci; and many nieces and nephews.


A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, 10:30 am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Joseph’s 226 French St., Hammonton. Burial followed in Greenmount Cemetery, Hammonton. A viewing was held on Monday, May 9, 2022, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton.
