Holiday worship schedules for local churches

Local churches have announced their schedule of events and services for the holiday season.


St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish: St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish has held and will continue to hold various services and events for the month of December.


On December 17, the parish will hold parish Christmas caroling from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at St. Anthony Church on Route 206. There will be a special performance at 6 p.m. with the Little Cubs Preschool Christmas play, hot chocolate, popcorn, Christmas cookies and a carousel.

This is a free event.


Posada will be held on December 18 at 5 p.m. for Spanish services.


The Christmas Mass Schedule is as follows: Children’s Christmas pageant at 3:30 p.m., English Mass at 4 p.m., Spanish Mass at 8 p.m. and Christmas concert with sing-along at 11:30 p.m. will be held at St. Joseph Church while a 4 p.m. English Mass will be held at St. Anthony Church, all on December 24.


Solemn Mass at 12 a.m., English Mass at 9 a.m. and Spanish Mass at 12 p.m. will be held at St. Joseph Church while English Masses will be held at 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Church, all on December 25.


Mass will be held on December 31 at 5 p.m. at St. Joseph Church while New Years Day services will be held on January 1, 2023 as follows: English Mass at 9 a.m. and Spanish Mass at 12 p.m. at St. Joseph Church while Mass will be held at 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Church.


The parish will be holding Christmas caroling on December 17 from 6 to 9 p.m. at St. Anthony Hall in St. Anthony of Padua, located on 285 US-206. It is a free event with a special performance of Christmas Play by the Little Cubs Preschool.


Harvest Church: Middle schoolers and high schoolers are invited to the True North Youth Christmas Party on December 16 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Food and games will be served as they help welcome Christmas.


On December 24 at 5 p.m., the church will be holding a Candlelight Christmas Eve Service, where there will be Christmas carols, photos, festive hot cocoa and coffee and spreading the message of hope. An online only service will be held on Christmas Day on December 25 at 10 a.m. and on New Years Day, the church will be holding New Year’s Water Baptism Celebration Service on January 1, 2023.

Presbyterian Church of Hammonton: The Presbyterian Church of Hammonton, located at 326 Bellevue Avenue, will be holding a candlelight service at 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Service will be held on December 25 at 11 a.m. while service will be held on January 1, 2023 at 11 a.m.

The church is holding their Christmas Angel Project, where toys, socks, books, hats and gloves are being given to local children in need. Donations are still being accepted, both in forms of money and new or lightly used toys. The church’s Good for our Neighbors clothing closet and pantry is year round and open from Monday to Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The clothing closet gives out clothes, housewares, personal items and some dry goods and foods and continues to accept donations for the clothing closet year round.


The church will be holding their annual Christmas Tea on December 11 at 2 p.m. For more information on services and events, you can visit Presbyterian Church of Hammonton’s website hammontonpres.org.


Calvary Chapel of Hammonton: The Calvary Chapel of Hammonton, located on 660 South Egg Harbor Road, will be holding their Walk Through Bethlehem from December 14 to December 16 at 7 p.m. Sign ups for the event will be available on their website cchammonton.org and walk ins are welcome as well.


Christmas Eve services will be held on December 24 at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. while Christmas Day services will be held online on YouTube under the Calvary Chapel Hammonton account on December 25. New Years Day services will be held on January 1, 2023 at 10:30 a.m.


SS. Peter and Paul Traditional Catholic Parish: SS. Peter and Paul Traditional Catholic Parish will be holding their Christmas Eve midnight Mass, Vigil of the Nativity, on December 24 at 10 p.m. On Christmas Day, the parish will be holding their Christmas Mass, Feast of the Nativity of our Lord, on December 25 at 8 a.m.


The Feast of the Circumcision of our Lord will be held on New Years Day, January 1, 2023 at 10 a.m.


All events and services will be held at 300 Peach Street.


Hammonton Baptist Church: Hammonton Baptist Church, located on 19 South Third Street, will be holding their Christmas musical on December 18 at 10 a.m. The musical will feature music, poetry and Scripture readings. The Christmas Eve Candlelight Service will be held on December 24 at 6 p.m. On the morning of Christmas Day, please join the church for a beautiful time of fellowship with Joyful Worship on Christmas Morning on December 25 at 10 a.m.


No services will be held on New Years Day.


Victory Bible Church: Victory Bible Church, located on 816 South Egg Harbor Road, held their Drive-Thru Nativity on December 8, 9 and 11.


Christmas Eve service will be held on December 24 at 7 p.m. Christmas Day service will be held on December 25 at 10 a.m. New Years Day service will be held on January 1, 2023 at 10 a.m.


First United Methodist Church of Hammonton: The First United Methodist Church of Hammonton will be holding an Advent series called Ugly Sweater Advent each week at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and are encouraging everyone to wear their ugly sweater to their services. Located at 398 Bellevue Avenue, the following series will be held as follows: December 4 was Ugly Words, December 11 was Ugly Motives and December 18 is Ugly Actions.


Christmas Eve services will be held both in person and Facebook Live on December 24. Family service will be held at 3 p.m. and candlelight service will be held at 11 p.m. Christmas Day service will be online only on Facebook and YouTube on December 25. A New Years Day service will be one service only at 10:30 a.m. on January 1, 2023 and will be both in-person and Facebook Live.


St. James Lutheran Church: St. James Lutheran Church, located at 1341 Mays Landing Road, will have worships live and via Zoom on Sundays at 10 a.m. The Zoom link can be found on their website www.stjamesfolsom.org. The church is also holding Wednesday devotional services at 7 p.m.


Blue Christmas Service will be held on December 21 at 7 p.m. for those hurting, struggling and/or grieving. Christmas Eve Service for Children will be held on December 24 at 5:30 p.m. for children of all ages and a traditional service will be held at 11 p.m.


A Christmas Day service will be held on December 25 at 10 a.m. and on New Years Day, the church will be holding a Service of Lessons and Carols at 10 a.m.
