HAMMONTON—A residential burglary was discovered at 10:05 p.m. on October 15 on the 100 block of Birch Drive, Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel said.

The Hammonton Police Department responded to a “burglary not in progress” call, Friel said.

“Officer Kyle Ambrozaitis responded, making sure the house was safe and secure,” Friel said.

Ambrozaitis was advised by a resident that sometime before 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. on October 15, there had been entry to the residence and jewelry, purses and U.S. currency had been taken from within the residence, Friel said.

Friel said Det. Jared Baglivo responded to process the scene.

Anyone with any information about the burglary should contact the Hammonton Police Department at (609) 561-4000, Friel said, adding that Ambrozaitis and Baglivo were the investigating officers.
