John W. “Jack” Amato III



John W. “Jack” Amato III, 58, of Hammonton died on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at home.


Born in Vineland he was a lifelong resident of Hammonton. He was a truck driver at J.B. Ordille Produce Co. in Vineland. Jack loved to tinker with things especially things that were mechanical. He was a “Jack of Trades” and could fix anything. He enjoyed hunting in his younger years and farming. Jack was big-hearted, generous and cared for his family very much.


He is predeceased by his father, John A. Amato Jr.


Surviving are his mother, Joyce Amato (nee McCluskey); his sister, Janice Dispoto and her husband Charles all of Hammonton; his nieces and nephews, Emily Moorhead (Shawn), Andrew Dispoto, Laura Dudeck (Collin); Zachary Dispoto; his companion, Hope Brown; and his best friend, Michael Iuliucci.


A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on February 16, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Anthony of Padua, 285 Route 206, Hammonton. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery, Hammonton. There was a walk through visitation where everyone practiced social distancing while wearing a mask and avoiding physical contact with family for their protection due to COVID-19 on February 15, 2021 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton, N.J. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
