Joseph F. “Smokey” Cirillo



Joseph F. “Smokey” Cirillo, 82, of Hammonton, N.J. passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021.


Smokey was born in Egg Harbor City, N.J. and graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1957. He served in the United States Airforce from 1962-1965 stationed at McGuire Airforce Base. Joseph then re-enlisted and retired as a Technical Sergeant on July 27, 1999.


Joseph is predeceased by his parents and his wife, Michelle (nee Gray) Cirillo.


He is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Pavlovitch (Paul) of Springfield, Pa. and Lisa Cirillo of Lindenwold, N.J.; sons, Joseph, Frank and Ronald Cirillo; brother, Anthony Cirillo (Jane); and sisters, Roseann Sweeney (Art), Ann Cirillo and Carol Anne Cirillo. He is the loving grandfather of John and Olivia Chamberlain, and Paulie and Geo Pavlovitch.


Family and friends attended a visitation, Tuesday, December 7, 2021, 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, St. Joseph Church Third and French Streets Hammonton, N.J., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial followed in Greenmount Cemetery, 124 S. First Rd. Hammonton, N.J.


In lieu of flowers, any donations may be made in memory of Joseph to the Wounded Warriors Project 4899 Belfort Road Suite 300 Jacksonville, FL 32256.
