Joseph Monzo Sr., 86, of Hammonton died on January 29, 2021.
He was born and raised and graduated from Hammonton High School in 1954. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 thru 1956. Joe started working at the Hammonton A & P Supermarket as the Produce Manager for 19 years and later retiring from White Hall Labs in Hammonton after 15 years. His joined the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society in Hammonton in 1975 and served on the Board of Directors. Joe enjoyed spending time with his wife Rosemarie, weekly Wednesday coffee club at OLMC, going to the casino, farming and hunting.
He is predeceased by his parents, Angelo and Josephine Monzo (nee Messina).
Surviving are his devoted wife, Rose Marie (nee Dovico); his son, Joseph Monzo Jr. and his wife Laura; his daughter, Gina Monzo; two sisters, Angie Sacco and her husband Paul and Millie Gagliardi and her husband Vince; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Dovico and his wife Barbara. He is the loving grandfather of Joseph Monzo III (Samantha) and Eric Michael Monzo (Vicky).
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday February 4, 2021 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third Street Hammonton, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish St. Joseph Church 3rd & French Streets Hammonton, N.J. Burial will be in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery 124 S. First Rd. Hammonton, N.J. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Joe to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society P.O. Box 182 Hammonton, NJ 08037.
