Few things make a night out on the town more exciting than hitting big at the tables.
Now, thanks to LED Casino Entertainment LLC, that excitement can be brought to private parties without the need for heading to a casino.
Joe Caracciolo, a 1995 graduate of Hammonton High School and a lifelong resident of the town, is the proprietor of LED Casino Entertainment LLC. Caracciolo said that his 20 years of experience in the industry started as a matter of chance.
“A good friend of mine was working in the business. One day, he asked me if I wanted to work, and I said yeah. I’ve been doing it ever since,” Caracciolo said.
Caracciolo said that he worked for another company for roughly 13 years before branching out on his own.
“I’ve had my own company for about five years, and I became an LLC about eight months ago,” Caracciolo said.
Caracciolo said that LED Casino Entertainment LLC is available for a variety of parties in all sorts of venues.
“We go around doing birthday parties, entertainment-style gambling, anniversaries, bar mitzvahs, New Year’s Eve parties, holiday parties, corporate events. We like to be in places like VFW halls, catering halls, event halls, because we want to be the entertainment for people,” Caracciolo said.
Caracciolo said that the company provides entertainment-style gambling.
“There’s no actual, real gambling involved. It’s just fun-style gambling. At the beginning of the night—say you’re at a birthday party—we’ll have the person’s face on a $1,000 bill. You’ll get one of them as your casino pass; that’s your currency for the casino. Your paper money gets turned into the dealer, and the dealer gives you $1,000 in chips that are worth absolutely nothing; they’re just for fun. You’re just going to carry them for the night. Maybe, at the end of the night, whoever’s birthday party it is will have first, second or third place, maybe a chance auction or raffle, and maybe a couple prizes at the end of the night. There’s no money involved,” Caracciolo said.
Caracciolo said that LED Casino Entertainment LLC provides casino tables—blackjack, craps, roulette, Texas Hold’em poker—and entertainment-style, skill-based slot machines.
“Skill-based slot machines mean they take tokens, and you have to press the wheels to stop them. It’s not automatic; that’s illegal in New Jersey,” Caracciolo said.
LED Casino Entertainment LLC serves a large area, Caracciolo said.
“We bring the casino wherever anybody wants; we go to Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York City,” he said.
Caracciolo said that the company rents casino tables for $300.
“That comes with a dealer, the set-up and the breakdown. We staff the table with a professional dealer... I have about nine or 10 dealers on call as needed,” he said.
Caracciolo said that he is licensed through the New Jersey Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission.
“My license is an A License; it gives me permission to train and license these dealers. They go through some training with me and then I can hire them as staff,” Caracciolo said.
In the future, Caracciolo hopes that LED Casino Entertainment will be able to do fundraisers. For now, he is focusing on the services that they already provide.
“I want to use my great personality to entertain people. My staff—and my experience running casino parties—is how I want to provide a great service for a great customer base,” Caracciolo said.
Caracciolo said that LED Casino Entertainment LLC’s location, at 661 S. White Horse Pike, affords the business great visibility, and he hopes that local clientele will avail themselves of their services, whether in town or at events elsewhere.
“I’m here. I’m in Hammonton. I’m local ... We bring the casino to you,” Caracciolo said.
