To the Editor:

As the new school year begins, I am writing to ask for your support as a candidate for the Hammonton School Board.

My wife, Maureen, and I have lived here since 2004 and are proud to call Hammonton home. We have two daughters, who attend our schools, and we are all involved in many activities throughout our great community.

I am very familiar with school district operations. My wife is a schoolteacher in Bridgeton, my parents were both schoolteachers in Toms River and I am licensed by the New Jersey Department of Education as a School Business Administrator. I currently work at a university where I lead a large business program.

It is my belief that while we have a good school system in Hammonton, there are always opportunities to do things better to benefit our students, parents, faculty, staff, all residents and taxpayers.

Once I am elected to the school board, I will provide everyone in our town greater accountability, better communication and more transparency. We should have a school board that is proactive, engages with and listens to all stakeholders, to encourage participation in meetings and activities. I also believe that school board members should be free from conflict, which I am, so I can serve on our school board with an open mind and without limitations.

In closing, I would sincerely appreciate one of your three votes to our school board this fall.

Please feel free to reach out to me anytime at (609) 457-1639. I’m here for you.
