Margaret E. Johnson

Margaret E. Johnson (nee Johns), 77, of Hammonton, N.J. passed away Wednesday August 11, 2021 at AtlantiCare Medical Center in Galloway, N.J.

Margaret was born and raised in Egg Harbor City, N.J. She married Richard B. Johnson and helped out in the family business, Chester’s Hardware in Hammonton for many years. She was active in the First United Methodist Church of Hammonton serving in the Ladies Auxiliary and singing in the choir.

She is predeceased by her husband, Richard B. Johnson; parents, Norman and Margaret Johns; along with several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her three sons, Jefery of Hammonton, N.J., Richard of Mays Landing, N.J., Robert and his wife Elizabeth of Hammonton, N.J. and her brother Robert Johns of Mullica Twp., N.J. Margaret is the loving grandmother of Jefery, Justin, Matthew, Ryan and Sean Johnson and great-grandmother of Amelia, Eva and Hudson.

Family and friends attended her viewing Saturday, August 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by services at 11 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton, N.J. Burial followed at Egg Harbor City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Margaret to the First United Methodist Church of Hammonton 398 Bellevue Ave. Hammonton, NJ 08037.
