Marie Teresa Bowers

Marie Teresa Bowers (nee Fonte), 87, of Elm died on April 10, 2021.

Marie was born in Blue Anchor on January 14, 1934. As an accomplished singer, she shared her love of music and dance with her children and friends. Marie grew up working on the family farm in Blue Anchor. In the early ‘80s she worked as a casino dealer in Atlantic City. Marie was an excellent cook and baker and was known for sharing her confections with the many friends she enjoyed playing cards with.

She is the beloved wife of the late Francis for 61 years; daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy Fonte.

She is the devoted mother of Francis Jr. of Clementon, Leslie (Brian) Moody of Mount Laurel, Daniel of Cedar Brook and Leigh of Dividing Creek. She is the loving grandmother of Renee, Austin, Daniel Jr., Christina and Scott and great-grandmother to Lillian.
