Obituaries


Piero “Pete” G. Terpolilli, Jr.

Piero “Pete” G. Terpolilli, Jr., 93, of Atco, N.J. died at home on September 29, 2022 and is now with God and family that predeceased him. Born in the town of Montecilfone in Compobasso Province the Molise Region of Italy to Alfredo and Maria (nee Papa) Terpolilli. He attended and graduated from University of Bologna. After College he served in the Italian Military for 2 years as a Paratrooper and jump specialist in Korea. During that time and after his duty to Italy, he crossed over to the US military as a Paratrooper and jump specialist, continued to serve during the Korean War with over 1865 successful jump missions and special duty missions. As a youth in Italy, Pete was an avid skier and developed a passion for sky diving. In America he enjoyed, skiing, the beach, tennis, soccer, airplane shows, auto racing, college football and for many years was a Philadelphia Eagles season ticket holder. Pete worked for Banner Liquor in Pennsauken, N.J. for over 35 years as an Imported Wine Expert and Salesman. Also, after semi retiring, Pete spent several years at multiple A.C. Casinos in various gourmet restaurants as a wine expert.


Predeceased by his wife, Antoinette Terpolilli (nee Amoriello); parents, Alfredo and Maria (nee Papa) Terpolilli and sister, Gabriella who passed as a young child. He is survived by his children, Fred Terpolilli (Hammonton, N.J.), Maria Terpolilli (Michael) (Northfield, N.J.) and David Terpolilli (Toni) (Franklin Twp., N.J.); six grandchildren, Maria Calvia Picknally (Gabe), Maria Terpolilli, Anthony Terpolilli, Michael Terpolilli (Moya), David Terpolilli (Denise) and Gianna Terpolilli and daughter-in-law Kim Terpolilli; 10 great grandchildren, Gia, Niko, Julianna, Franco, Sabatino, Giovanni, Julian, Isabella, Louis and Mia; and many friends, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family in Italy.


THERE WILL NOT BE A PUBLIC VIEWING.


In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to local VFW’s and American Legions. Family and friends are invited to attend his Graveside Service Saturday, October 8, 10 a.m. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 124 S. First Rd. Hammonton, N.J.
