Obituary
Grace “Tootsie” Berger (nee Errera), 92, of Hammonton, N.J. passed away Saturday April 29, 2023. Grace was born and raised in Hammonton and graduated from Hammonton High in 1949 where she played Varsity Basketball, served in student council and was part of the Yearbook Staff. After graduation she worked for the Suburban Gas Company, Sears Appliance Store and Forest Cleaners.
She is predeceased by her husband, David J. Berger, Sr.; daughter, Barbara Ann Berger; parents, Peter and Alice Errera; and sister, Gerry Ricci. Tootsie is survived by her children, Georgann McKenna and her husband Francis of Ambler, P.A. and David J. Berger, Jr. and his wife Cindy of Hammonton, N.J. Loving grandmother of Stephanie Berger, Katie Donio (Denny), David Berger III, Lauren Berger (Mark), Robert McKenna (Brooke) and Elizabeth McKenna. Great Grandmother of Denny and Dylan Donio and Nora Monroe McKenna. She will be sadly missed by her niece, Denise Mariotti; and nephew, Henry Michael Ricci.
Relatives and friends were invited to attend her viewing Wednesday May 3rd from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish – St. Joseph Church 3rd & French Streets Hammonton, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial followed in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery 248 S. First Road Hammonton, N.J.
