Obituary
Susan Moreinis, 74, of Hammonton, N.J., left this world on Sunday, June 11, 2023 after a long and courageous battle against T Cell Lymphoma and Long Covid. Susan was born on April 11, 1949 and grew up in Brooklyn, NY. She attended Abraham Lincoln High School, SUNY Stonybrook, and earned a law degree from Saint John’s University in Queens, NY. Susan practiced law out of her Collingswood, NJ office for 35 years. Susan loved hosting parties, playing tennis and mahjong, reading, watching Jeopardy and traveling six of the seven continents.
Susan is pre-deceased by her father Joseph Moreinis. Susan is survived by her loving husband, Charles J. Penza; her mother, Marilyn Moreinis; and her brother, Peter Moreinis. The family would like to thank Dr. Stephen Barta and the staff at University of Penn Hospital, Pavilion Building for their compassionate care during Susan’s treatment.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 23rd at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 South Third Street, Hammonton, N.J., where a visitation will be held from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Entombment will follow in Greenmount Cemetery, Hammonton.
