Obituary

Angelina (Angie) M. Jacobs (nee Lanza), 92, of Hammonton, N.J. passed away peacefully Sunday January 1, 2023 at home with her loving family by her side. Angie was born in New York, N.Y., she graduated from Hammonton High School in 1948 and the Atlantic City Hospital Nursing program with her RN in 1952. She worked at Atlantic City Hospital and Ancora State Hospital. She was the Vice President of Gardiners Express and was instrumental in building and continuing the success of the family business. In her free time, she volunteered for the Junior Miss Pageant. She was a dedicated Philadelphia fan and season ticket holder for many years at the Vet and Spectrum Stadiums. She enjoyed cheering on her favorite team, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Flyers and Phillies. Angie's biggest passion in life were her husband Jack, family and friends. Her happiest days were attending events for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always put family first.
Angie is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Mary Lanza (nee Cuva); and sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Len Pugliese; Brother-in-law, William “Bill” Jacobs. She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years John “Jack” Jacobs. Her children, John “Jake” Jacobs (Mary), Mary Ann Holoway, Nancy Fonte (Pat) and Christina McCarthy (Brian); One brother, Joseph Lanza (Ginger); Sister-in-law, Marge Jacobs. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, William, Lauren (Ric), Brianna(Jim), Patrick, Katie(Nick), Alysa and Angelina; and her great grandchildren, Gabriella, Sofia, Anthony, Lorelai and Everleigh. Many nieces, nephews and friends.
Relatives and friends were invited to attend her viewing Sunday January 8, 2023 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton, N.J. 08037. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish St. Joseph Church Third & French Streets Hammonton, N.J. Burial followed at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 248 S. First Rd. Hammonton, N.J. 08037. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Lung Association 55 W.
