Catherine D. Richards, 81, of Glenolden, Pa., passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023 in Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park. Born in Philadelphia, Pa. she was a lifelong area resident. Catherine was a legal secretary in the Public Defender's Office in Delaware County, Pa. from 2001 until her retirement in 2019. She was a Graduate of Notre Dame High School in Moylan, Pa. Catherine was a longtime member of Our Lady of Fatima RC Church; she was also a member of the American Cancer Society.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Dorothy (nee Doyle) Regan; and her sister, Jean Loftus and brother-in-law Thomas Loftus. Catherine is survived by her niece and Goddaughter, Kathy Mento; her husband, Sam; their children, Sarah and Sam; her nephew, Tom Loftus and his wife Traci and their children, Ryan, TJ and Megan and her niece Jeanne DeNucci.
Memorial Services will be private. Memorial Donations in her honor may be sent to Four Diamonds at Penn State Children's Hospital, 1249 Cocoa Ave., Suite 115, P.O. Box 852, Hershey, PA 17033.
