Anthony J. Benedetto

Anthony J. Benedetto, Jr. “Whitey”, 67, of Hammonton, N.J. passed away suddenly Monday February 20, 2023. Whitey was born and raised in Hammonton and was a graduate of Hammonton High School in 1973. He went on to study for 2 years at the Atlantic County Technical School. He started working at the Ancora State Hospital, Tropicana Casino and for 17 years he was the Field Operations Coordinator for Troop A Headquarters of the New Jersey State Police retiring in 2017. For over 25 years he volunteered for the Hammonton Vol. Fire Co. # 2 and served as the Lieutenant Safety Officer.

He is predeceased by his parents, Anthony J. Benedetto, Sr. and Mildred Benedetto. Whitey is survived by his loving wife, Ann Marie (nee Brady); his son, A.J. Benedetto; and daughter, Alanna Benedetto.

Relatives and friends were invited to attend his viewing Friday February 24, 2023 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third Street Hammonton, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. St. Mary of Mt. Carmel parish – St. Joseph Church Third & French Streets Hammonton, N.J. Burial followed at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 248 S. First Rd.

Hammonton, N.J. 08037. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hammonton Volunteer Fire Co. #2, 51 N. White Horse Pike Hammonton, N.J. 08037.
