Obituary
Marisa A. Salvati, 88, of Hammonton passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden. Born in Rome, Italy she was a resident of Hammonton for sixty years. She had worked at Hammonton Park Clothes in Hammonton, and was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union. She enjoyed cooking, making homemade macaroni and Sunday dinners with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gualtiero Salvati; her daughter in law, Linda Salvati; her brothers, Fausto and Mario; and her sisters, Lella and Vincenza. She is survived by four sons, John Salvati, Steve Salvati, Robert Salvati (wife Sandra) and Mario Salvati; nine grandchildren, Lori, Mark (wife Andrea), David, Jessica, Jenna, Alyssa, Allison (husband Adam), Matteo and Nicholas; five great grandchildren; and her sisters, Anna and Marcella.
A viewing was held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 9:30 A.M. – 11 A.M. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church of St. Joseph's, 226 French Street in Hammonton, where a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 A.M. Burial followed at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 124 S. First Road in Hammonton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St.Vincent DePaul Food Pantry, 226 French Street, Hammonton, N.J. 08037 or to the American Heart Association, 2250 US Highway 1, North Brunswick, N.J. 08092-4301.
