Obituary

Jeanne Marie Lindsay

Jeanne Marie Lindsay (nee Goins), 79, of Hammonton, N.J. passed away peacefully Friday, April 14, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family. Raised in Atco, she was the salutatorian of St. Joseph’s High School graduating class of 1961. She attended Mt. Aloysius College and received a degree in Medical Records. She worked at many hospitals and nursing homes throughout New Jersey, Ohio, and N.Y. Retirement years brought Jeanne and Greg home to Hammonton. Lindsay’s Pick Your Own Blueberries was a labor of love. She loved interacting with the many people who came to the farm each year, some returning year after year and becoming friends. Though a traditional homemaker, she held strong to her feminist views and passed them on to her daughters. As the matriarch of the family, she was the keeper of traditions. As a testament to her strength, the family saying is, “The problem with Jeanne is that she doesn’t know what she can’t do”.

Predeceased by her parents, Charles and Jean Goins of Atco; and her brother, Charles Patrick Goins, Jr. Beloved wife of Greg (d 2013); Loving mother of Janis Duffy, Christine Sebastian, and Catherine Eastman (Bill) and grandmother of William, Sean and Daniel Duffy, Annabelle and Sarah Sebastian. Devoted sister to Dorothy Maradeo (Matt), Agnes Massara (Jim), and Catherine Brigandi (Frank). Also survived by her sisters and brothers in law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and friends were invited to attend her viewing Wednesday April 19, 2023 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. and Thursday 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N.
