Darlene Ann Berenato (nee Wiedemer), 87, of Hammonton, N.J. passed away on Saturday April 6, 2024. Darlene was born and raised in Egg Harbor City, N.J. and was a proud graduate of Egg Harbor City High School, class of 1954. She was considered a mom to all. Her best times were spent with family and friends, which she considered her biggest blessing.
Darlene is predeceased by her husband, Julius “Caesar” Berenato; her infant son, Julius; her parents, George and Marie Wiedemer; and her brother-in-law, Anthony “Chip” Jiampetti. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Berenato and his wife, Joan, and Jill Berenato-Quinn and her husband, William; her sister, Judy Jiampetti; and many nieces and nephews. Loving grandmother to Bridget Ramsden and her husband, Paul, and Bryant Quinn and his wife, Cecilia, and great-grandmother to Colton and Joelle Ramsden.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Friday April 12, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton, NJ 08037. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish St. Joseph Church Third & French Streets Hammonton, NJ. Burial will follow at Egg Harbor City, NJ Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Darlene’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
