Louis M. Conte

Louis M. Conte, 100, of Melbourne, Fla. and formerly of Elmtowne Winslow Twp. N.J. passed away peacefully on Monday November 20, 2023 at Inspira Hospital in Elmer, N.J. Louis was born and raised in Camden, N.J. After graduation Louis served in the U.S Army during World War II and completed his Associates Degree at Washington University in St. Louis. Following his discharge from the service he worked for RCA in Camden, NJ for over 36 years as their Quality Control Manager retiring in 1982. He loved to read, gardening and watch the Eagles and his favorite Phillies.


He is predeceased by his loving wife, Kathryn R. Conte (nee Attore); parents, Joseph and Victoria Conte (nee Monforte); brothers, Pat and Anthony Conte; and sister, Ann DeVore. Louis is survived by his three sons, Joseph and his wife Tricia of Upper Pittsgrove, N.J., Richard of Landisville, N.J., and Donald and his wife Angela of Elkton, Md; his brother, Salvatore Conte and his wife Antoinette; and sisters, Phyllis Gates, Delores Pepperess and Diane DePetris (John). He will be sadly missed by his seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.


Relatives and friends were invited to attend his church viewing Monday November 27, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish –St. Joseph Church 3rd & French Streets Hammonton, N.J. Mass of Christian Burial was offered at 11 a.m. Burial followed in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 248 S. First Rd. Hammonton, N.J.
