Rita A. Pavesi

Rita A. Pavesi (nee Mongo), 91, of Hammonton, N.J. passed away Friday December 8, 2023 at Cape Regional Medical Center in Cape May Ct. House, N.J. Rita was born and raised in Blue Anchor, N.J. and lived in Hammonton all of her adult life. She owned and operated Rita’s Beauty Salon from 1960 and continued until her retirement in 2017. She was the former Choir Director for the Children’s Choir at St. Martin De Porres Church in Hammonton until its closure.

Rita is predeceased by her parents, Michael and Angelina Mongo (nee Maiese); her husband, Antony F. “Pee Wee” Pavesi; and sister, Rose Marie Volusher. She is survived by her daughter, Jenny Anne Danks (Lynn); her brother, John Mongo; sister, Elaine Austin; and her granddaughter, Jennifer Maturano (Flamino). She will be sadly missed by her great grandchildren, Alicia, Anthony, J.C., Saydee, Devon Maturano (Fiancé Cristian Aguina) and Cloe Ross as well as her great great grandson, Andre.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Tuesday December 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow 11 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish St. Anthony of Padua Church 285 Rt. 206 Hammonton, N.J. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery 500 N. White Horse Pike Hammonton, NJ 08037. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
