Paul A. Raffa



Paul A. Raffa, 69, of Hammonton passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at his residence.


Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident. Paul was a master carpenter and kitchen designer.  He began his career working alongside his father at John Raffa & Sons Construction Company. He was a former member of the Atlantic City Carpenter Union Local #623. Paul loved flying model airplanes, but flying his own plane gave him greater joy. He loved taking family members places and spending the day with them. Paul was into music and musical instruments. He performed with his band, Mixed Emotions, for many years. He was a people person and loved to make people laugh. Paul was a computer whiz and loved dogs.


He is predeceased by his parents, Paul J. and Lillian Raffa, and his brother, Ronald J. Raffa.


He is survived by his wife, Janet C. Raffa; his step-daughters, Kelly Bennett (Jose) and Katherine David (Wilson); his sisters-in-law, Patricia Marie Raffa, Kathie Connor and Joan Seale; his brothers-in-law, Don McCauley and Bob McCauley; his niece, Karla Marie Raffa; and his granddaughter, Lucy.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Thursday, August 4, 2022, 11 a.m. in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Joseph’s, 226 French St., Hammonton, where a viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will be private. Donations in Paul’s memory may be made to Pitt Hopkins Research Foundation PO Box 6257, Plymouth, MA 02362.
