Paul Buondonno



Paul Buondonno, 87, of Hammonton died peacefully on Tuesday December 29, 2020 at home with his family by his side.


Paul was born in Camden, N.J. and lived in Pennsauken until 1987 when he moved to Hammonton. He served in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant from 1956–1961. He retired from the City of Camden School District as an elementary school principal where he worked for over 31 years.


He is predeceased by his parents, Louis and Josephine Buondonno.


Surviving are his wife, Rosa (nee Portale); his son, Louis Paul Boundonno and his wife Mary Ann of Hainesport, N.J.; daughters, Paula Ann Markarian and her husband Gary of Englewood, Fla. and Maria Higgins and her husband Mike of Hammonton; brother, Robert Golding and his wife Rose of Sewell, N.J.; and sister, Rose Marie Davis of Mt. Laurel, N.J. He is the loving grandfather of Francesca, Shannon, Michael Dean, Tara and Paul as well as great-grandfather of Luciano and Isabella.


Family and friends attended his viewing on January 4, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial followed at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish St. Joseph Church 3rd & French Streets Hammonton, N.J. Entombment will be in Greenmount Cemetery 124 S. First Rd. Hammonton, N.J. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul’s memory to the Wounded Warriors Project P.O. Box 758516 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
