ANAHEIM, Calif.—USA National Gymnastics Association (NGA) hosted the 2024 National Gymnastics Championships in Anaheim, Calif. Flyers Gymnastics two 11 year olds in the Gold division, brought home National titles.
Grace Petrosh won Gold on Balance Beam scoring an incredible 9.825, the highest beam score of the entire championships.
Nola Scaffidi, who is Regional vault champion, continued her reign by winning the Gold medal on vault 9.475, to become National Vault Champion. Scaffidi also won Bronze on uneven bars, 9.575 and is Bronze Medal National All Around Champion 37.75. Teammate Reese Bundick (9) was top 10 on Balance Beam 9.275 and Floor Exercise 9.45.
In the Diamond division, Tatiana Blough (15) brought home two Silver medals. Blough’s impressive Floor Exercise routine scored a 9.75 and Balance beam scored 9.675. Flyers’ Nina Scaffidi (13) scored a 9.525 on Balance Beam to finish fourth. Both athletes along with Grace Petrosh received Beam Queen Awards for scoring higher than 9.5 on the apparatus.
More than 18,00 athletes from 42 states competed at the week long tournament. Women's and men's competitions were held next to Disneyland at the Anaheim Convention Center. For more gymnastics highlights go to FlyersAcademy.com.
