Rita A. Tedeschi



Rita A. Tedeschi (nee Mascolo), 70, of Hammonton, N.J. passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, January 21, 2022.


Born in Vineland she was a lifelong South Jersey resident. Rita was a registered nurse and began her career at Newcomb Hospital. Through the years she worked at AtlantiCare, Kennedy and Underwood Hospitals. She was a member of the Pinelands K9 Club and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.


Rita is predeceased by her parents, Louis and Frances Mascolo; and her brothers, Thomas and Phillip.


She is survived by her husband, Louis Tedeschi; her son, Phillip Tedeschi and his wife Debbie of Winterhaven, Fla.; her daughter, Nicole Tedeschi of Baltimore, Md.; two brothers, Louis Mascolo (Christine) of Vineland and Joseph Mascolo (Debbie) of Ft. Myers, Fla.; her sister, Lucia Farinelli (Chris) of Weston, Fla.; and her two grandchildren, Matthew and Isabella.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Wednesday, January 26, 2022, 11 a.m. in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Joseph’s, 226 French St., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammonton. Viewings were held Tuesday, January 25 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will be held again on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton, NJ 08037. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Support the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: Lifeline (https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org/donate/.
