Bob was born and raised in Hammonton and was a 1951 graduate of Hammonton High School. He worked for the State of New Jersey as a locksmith at Ancora Psychiatric Hospital before retiring in 1989 after 35 years of service. Additionally, Bob worked part time as a locksmith for Sands Hotel and Casino during its heyday in the 1980s and 1990s. He also owned and operated Hammonton Telephone Answering Service for many years.
