Samuel Siligato



Samuel Siligato, 72, of Hammonton, N.J. passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 while surrounded by family and friends.


Samuel was born on January 16, 1950 and was a lifelong resident of Hammonton. He was one of two children born to Santos and Theresa (DePalma) Siligato.


Samuel was a businessman his entire life running multiple successful companies. From the first Arcade on Bellevue Avenue in Hammonton as well as The Siligator Inn and Garden State Trucking.


In retirement Samuel enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and had a deep love for his cats. He entertained everyone with his joke telling.


He is survived by his wife, Ruth Stiteler; two sons, David (Victoria) Siligato and Brian (Pattyann) Siligato; and stepchildren, Raymond (Heather) Stiteler, Jennifer (Kevin) Baily and Kelly (Brian) Ditzel. He was Pop-Pop to 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Sam is also survived by his friend and caregiver Christine Raio.


Family and friends are invited to his visitation Friday, May 13, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton, N.J., with funeral services to follow at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Church, 226 French St., Hammonton, NJ 08037.


Cremation will be held privately.
