Downtown Hammonton continues its monthly Third Thursday event series with “Fiesta,” an evening event celebrating the incredible cultures and contributions from Latin America on Thursday, September 19. Begin your visit at the gazebo on Front Street for a brief introduction to the evening’s activities and performances from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., then head to the street festival on S. Second Street where the party will continue from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The festival will feature music, games, crafts, activities, performances and at 5:30 p.m. the ribbon cutting of the newest addition to Downtown Hammonton, Peruvian restaurant Downtown Peru, located at 14 S. Second Street.
“This will be the perfect evening to visit Downtown Hammonton. Shops stay open late and offer specialty items to fit the theme of the evening. It’s the perfect opportunity to find your new favorite shop or item and enjoy the Latin flavors on an autumn evening downtown,” MainStreet Executive Director Mica McCullough said.
The evening will feature an art gallery and community painting experience, as well as a display of beautiful and colorful traditional dresses from a variety of cultures and countries. For the full activity list (in English and in Spanish), visit
