HAMMONTON—A 43 year-old Hammonton man has been charged with multiple sexual offenses in connection to the sexual abuse of a woman that began at age 11 and continued until she was 19 years old, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced in a press release on January 27.

On January 25, 2021, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Dan Bocelle pulled into his driveway and with the assistance of Atlantic County SWAT members he was taken into custody without incident, the release said.

According to the release, Bocelle is charged with 1st degree Aggravated Sexual Assault and five additional sexual assault related charges. Search warrants executed at Bocelle’s house, place of business and vehicle yielded multiple cell phones, electronic devices, steroids and a large amount of cash, the release said.

Bocelle was transported to the Atlantic County Justice Facility where he is lodged, according to the release. This is an investigation conducted by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, the release said.

These charges are merely an accusation and not proof of guilt, the release said. In all criminal cases, a charged defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty, the release said.
