William James Tucker Sr.

William James Tucker Sr., 86, of Hammonton, N.J. passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at his home.

He was born in Dublin, Ga. and moved to Mullica Twp. in 1961. He worked for the Eastern Brewing Company in Hammonton as a fork lift operator for over 25 years until the brewery closed. He continued as a custodian for the Hammonton Board of Education for 10 years. William loved to fish, gardening and watching wrestling.

William is predeceased by his loving wife, Arvada Tucker (nee Davis) and son, William James Tucker Jr.

He is survived by his son, Alvin Grant Tucker Sr. and his wife Chanda of Sicklerville, N.J.; daughter, Melissa Sabat of Hammonton, N.J.; and daughter-in-law, Margaret. He is the loving grandfather of Gabrella, Joanna, Jacklyn, William III, Angelique, Arianna, Ariella, Alvin Jr., Joshua and Dakota and great-grandfather of Cameron, Aiden, Grayson, River, Rain and Bryce.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. Third St., Hammonton, N.J. followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in William’s memory to the Hammonton Cancer Foundation P.O.
