The Stockton University Performing Arts Center (PAC) has three shows to round out the next two weeks. The Brubeck Brothers Quartet will share the sweet sounds of jazz with audiences at Stockton University’s Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 21.

With Dan and Chris Brubeck as the foundation, guitarist Mike DeMicco and pianist Chuck Lamb, complete this dynamic quartet. They have performed at concert series, colleges and jazz festivals across North America and Europe including the Newport, Detroit, Montreal, Playboy/Hollywood Bowl and Monterey jazz festivals.

The Brubeck Brothers have been making music together practically all their lives. Drummer Dan and bassist, trombonist and composer Chris cut their first record together in 1966—more than a half-century ago. They’ve subsequently played a variety of styles in a number of different groups, as well as with their father, jazz giant Dave Brubeck, and with their own Brubeck Brothers Quartet.

The Quartet’s last CD, “TimeLine,” celebrated Dave Brubeck’s famous 1958 State Department tour. The CD received extensive airplay in major jazz markets across America and was a hit on the Jazz Week radio charts for five months.

No one in the news is safe with an atypical musical about current events at Stockton University’s Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 28.

NEWSical The Musical, the fifth longest-running off-Broadway musical and winner of the 2011 Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best Musical, is an always-changing musical comedy that features all the news that’s fit to spoof.

Through hilarious sketches, songs and parodies, NEWSical tackles everything from the highest office in the land to the lowest depths of reality. See why the New York Daily News calls it “The Daily Show set to music!”

On May 7, audience members can join in the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Bay Atlantic Symphony with a joyful season finale as they perform Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony in collaboration with the Greater South Jersey Chorus and an amazing quartet of singers. Its set to be a joyful end to a memorable season!
