Wise Resource Wellness Studio opens

Kristin Guglietti/THG Cody Razzi and Danielle McAnney, the owners of Wise Resource Wellness Studio, at 13 Horton St. celebrate the grand opening of the studio on Feb. 29.

Wise Resource Wellness Studio celebrated their grand opening with a Leap Year party on Feb. 29 at 13 Horton St.

Cody Razzi and Danielle McAnney, the business owners, met in massage therapy school. Razzi is from Egg Harbor Twp. and McAnney is from Hammonton.

“My girlfriend and I are really into wellness. We met in massage therapy school, and it’s just been a dream of ours to give wellness back to the community,” Razzi said.

In 2019, Razzi started to hone-in on having a holistic mindset.

“I think it’s a great way to live. I think living by what nature has to offer and non-invasive modalities like massage therapy really are able to heal people in ways that western medicine doesn’t really get into,” Razzi said.

Currently, the couple works together with physical therapists and offers massage therapy at Wise Resource Wellness Studio. They will also be attending classes to advance their massage therapy skills.

“It’s a thrill especially to bring it to such a wholesome community like Hammonton. It’s beautiful here,” Razzi said.

For McAnney, wellness runs in her family. Her parents used to own Ohana Juice Bar down the street and she has always been interested in holistic wellness.

“We’ve always been kind of interested in holistic wellness, so taking care of your body, mind and spirit through food through exercise through massage through tinctures, all that sort of stuff,” McAnney said.

During the grand opening, McAnney expressed her excitement and thanked the town for their support.

“My little sister works for the coffee shop and she’s just been telling people. The town is so involved and so supportive, so that’s been really cool to watch everybody come together and be excited about it,” McAnney said.

The couple plans on holding events in their event room such as Paint and Sips, holistic events and other community events.

“We’re excited to be part of the community, and we’re excited to help people find well-being and wholeness and healing,” McAnney said.

Wise Resource Wellness Studio has different massage services including intuitive massage, focused massage and chair massage.

The intuitive massage is a personalized massage experience designed to bring balance, relaxation and a renowned sense of well-being to both body and mind. The therapists use their trained hands and intuitive sense to create a massage catered to the client’s needs. There is a 60-minute and 90-minute option for this massage.

The focused massage is for concentrated attention to areas in most need of relief including areas such as head, neck, shoulders, arms, back, hips, legs and feet. The focused massage is 30 minutes.

The chair massage is for those who want to unwind and recharge in a few minutes. The chair massage lasts 10 or 20 minutes.

Wise Resource Wellness Studio also has a retail shop where customers can buy holistic medicine and items from local artists. In the future, Razzi hopes to sell soap and other skincare products he makes, but he has to go through the zoning board first for approval.
