All events and meetings are tentative and are based on restrictions and precautions related to COVID-19 being lifted.
Civic news is due Thursday at 5 p.m. the week before publication.  Any announcements, changes in meeting times and locations can be submitted directly to The Gazette via email to mhoffman@hammontongazette.com.

The Historic Preservation Committee will meet at 7 p.m. at Hammonton Town Hall, 100 Central Ave.

Wednesday, February 1

The Hammonton Planning Board will meet at 7 p.m. at Hammonton Town Hall, located at 100 Central Ave.
The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) - Chapter 66 will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the DAV Hall, located at 446 S. Egg Harbor Rd.

Friday, February 3

Masons M.B. Taylor Lodge 141 F. & A.M. will hold its dinner meeting at 6:30 p.m., with regular communication at 7:30 p.m., at the Lodge, located on 205 Central Ave.

Monday, February 6

Hammonton Community Garden & Green Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall, third floor meeting room or online (as COVID-19 precaution when needed).  Monday meetings move to Tuesday when there’s a holiday.  In-person meetings may be moved online as COVID-19 impacts our community.  Email hammontongreencommittee@gmail.com with any questions.

The Hammonton Democratic Club will meet at Rocco’s Town House at 7 p.m.

The Hammonton Woman’s Civic Club meets at 7 p.m. at the clubhouse on Broadway at Liberty Street. New members always welcome.
The Parks and Recreation Commission will meet at 7 p.m. at Hammonton Town Hall, 100 Central Ave.

Other Events 

St. James Lutheran Church, 1341 Mays Landing Rd. in Folsom will be holding Grief Support Groups starting January 11 for six weeks. Two different times are available to help accommodate schedules. Each meeting is 50 minutes long. If you have questions, please feel free to contact Pastor Werner at (609) 561-4488.  The evening sessions will be held Wednesdays at 6 p.m. on the following dates: Jan. 11, 18, 25 and Feb. 1, 8, 15. The afternoon sessions will be held Thursdays at 12:30 pm on Jan. 12, 19, 26 and Feb. 2, 9 and 16.  The Grief Support Group is for anyone who has experienced the death(s) of a loved one. The group is here to help and support you as well as provide resources as you move through the grieving process.

The Hammonton Canoe Club is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please come on out and join us for the following programs: On Thursday, September 22 at 11 a.m. Jonathan Malinski Conversation Police Officer of NJ on the subject of Fish and Wildlife. A lunch will be served. Asking for a $4 donation. On Tuesday, September 27 having Bingo at noon. Bingo cards are $1 each. Sponsored by Royal Suite. A lunch will be served. The Hammonton Ladies Social Group is meeting bi-weekly.    Visit their Facebook page called Hammonton Ladies Social Group where you can join and become a member.   There are regular posts for meeting times and dates and announcements for planned events with details.  If you are not on Facebook, you are still welcome to join, please contact Debbie Shain at DebbieShain@comcast.net


The Hammonton Senior Citizen Nutrition Center at 310 Belleview Avenue is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.  Seniors need to be 60 years or older of age and need to register with Atlantic County at the nutrition site. Masks are optional.  A $1 donation is suggested.  If you wish to join the Nutrition Site please register first at the center. The Hammonton Good Samaritan Center will hold dinners on Wednesdays.  Dinners are free of charge with curbside pickup only from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 310 Bellevue Avenue parking lot.  Weekly meals will be posted on Hammonton Family Success Center Facebook page via Eventbrite or calling the center by Tuesday at 3 p.m. at (609) 567-2900.


An addiction support group will meet every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 310 Bellevue Avenue.  The meetings are open to anyone affected by addiction.  For more information email hope.hammonton@gmail.com or call or text Gary at (609) 727-2763.
